Me and Leif Erikson, destined?

Things have been looking up. My mum has just regained her position to a better place today, and I finally learned (unpredictably so) who Leif Erikson is (or was). He was actually this Scandinavian adventurer who went all the way to US and somehow helped in spreading the whole language and literature in the first place. I know; some revelation, right?…and I couldn’t stop smiling for about thirty minutes after I learned this due to the pure coincidence surrounding my recent apprehension. I mean, I didn’t even care too much about who or what Leif Erikson is despite that it’s a perfect song, that’s all. And now, that I am “that” close to forgetting the whole thing, the name came up again, remembering me to the song and whatever happened surrounding it. Isn’t it funny? Just when you thought you have succeeded (or in my case; almost) in forgetting a person, suddenly the tiniest bits came appearing out of nowhere to your thoughts, thus destroying every effort of eradication. It’s like in that movie; Fools Rush In, when the guy (played by Matthew Perry) wanted to forget the Salma Hayek character, but instead everywhere he went he saw and met things that reminded him of her. But the two were supposedly destined that time in that particular movie. So, could this just be a sign that somehow we’re destined? Me and Leif Erikson?
